Eat, Drink and Be Scary!

Hello everyone, it’s Tuesday which means it’s time for a new challenge at Celebrate the Occasion. This week we’re required to use red, black, and white.

My card this week is, to be honest, relatively simple. I’ve been having a bit of a creative lull. At the same time, I feel like every idea I come up with is Christmas themed, and I’m doing my best to do Halloween and fall cards. I don’t want to rush Christmas, if that makes any kind of sense.

For my card, I used some dollar stamps from Wal-Mart that my sister bought me. And, I made a trim from some black grosgrain ribbon. I used some embroidery floss and a needle to create it. There’s no particular technique, I just randomly sewed to see what I could come up with. And the mat for the sentiment was cut with my Imagine machine. It comes with a few preloaded images and I thought the shape added a bit of elegance.

DSCF7407The card base is Pure Poppy from Papertrey Ink. The mats are True Black and Vintage Cream.

DSCF7409The trim was made with 5/8” grosgrain.

DSCF7410The sentiment and the skulls were stamped with VersaMark Dazzle in Frost and embossed with black embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed day!
